​​Tackers & Learn To Sail Programs

Once again this year we look forward to another successful Tackers season, with continuing positive feedback from local parents. Many of our early Tackers are now approaching adolescence and it is our hope that they and their families will show an interest in joining our club and sailing on the river.

Tom and Oscar from Smooth Sailing, will again be running the Tackers (children) and Learn to Sail (adult) programs on the Barwon River from January 12th - 16th, 2026.

The price for each course is $435 and the course schedule will be: Mornings (8:30 AM - 12:15 PM): Tackers 1 and Start Sailing. Afternoons (1:00 PM - 4:45 PM): Out There Sailing and Tackers 2 and 3.​

Information about Tackers 1, 2 and 3

(7-12 years)

 

Tackers is a fun and accredited Australian Sailing program aimed at children aged 7-12 years. It gives them an opportunity to enjoy safe and fun adventures on the water. The program includes:

 

• Tuition from qualified Australian Sailing instructors

• Fun on-water and off-water activities and games

• Tackers Certificate, presented on the last day

• Photos that will be emailed to participants
